Our Mission and Philosophy
Welcome to the Islamic Center of Fort Collins (ICFC), a place of worship and community. Our mission is to provide a welcoming, peaceful, and inclusive environment for all Muslims to practice their faith and connect with each other. At ICFC, we value diversity, unity, and compassion. We offer a variety of services, programs, and events that cater to the needs of our community, including daily prayers, Jumu'ah prayers, Quran classes, youth programs, and social gatherings. Our goal is to promote a better understanding of Islam and to serve as a resource for those who want to learn more about our religion. Join us in our mission and become part of our vibrant community!
We exist to provide service, guidance and support for our community in accordance with the proper teachings (Quran and Sunnah) towards aiding the society in all that which is good.
Muslims have been in Fort Collins since 1952. Our original mosque was established in March 1980 at 900 Peterson Street.
In the fall of 2013 the construction of our new center was complete at 925 West Lake Street, Fort Collins, CO, 80521
Our Imams
Welcome to the Islamic Center of Fort Collins (ICFC). Our Imams are dedicated to serving the community and spreading the teachings of Islam in an unbiased manner. They are highly educated individuals who have devoted their lives to the study and practice of Islam. Our Imams provide guidance and support to the community on a wide range of issues, including religious practice, family matters, and personal development.
ONE BIG FAMILY
Islam is not a new religion, but the same truth that God revealed to all his prophets to guide mankind. For a fifth of the world’s population, Islam is both a religion and a complete way of life. True Muslims follow a religion of peace, mercy, and forgiveness. As for the word “Islam”, it simply means submission to Allah the creator and sustainer of all worlds. The vast majority of Muslims are peace-loving individuals who condemn fanaticism and skewed opinions of hard-lined clerks who misinterpret the Islamic teachings.
